What is Learnathon 5.0?
Unlocking the Future: Learn • Build • Innovate
Learnathon 5.0 is GIET University's flagship innovation hackathon, organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology, in association with IncubateX Innovation. Built on the philosophy “Learn to Hack — Hack to Learn,” Learnathon isn't just a coding competition — it's a four-day sprint where students step out of textbooks and into the future.
From Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI to Blockchain, Quantum Computing, and Robotics, Learnathon 5.0 challenges undergraduate innovators to pick a real-world problem, form a team, and build a working solution — from raw idea to functional prototype — in a high-energy, mentor-backed environment.
Whether you're a first-time hacker or a seasoned builder, Learnathon 5.0 gives you the stage, the tools, and the community to turn “what if” into “what's next.”
“Learn to Hack. Hack to Learn.”

Learnathon Through the Years
Since its inception, Learnathon has grown from a campus-level coding contest into one of GIET University's most anticipated innovation events — bringing together hundreds of students, mentors, and industry experts each year to solve real-world challenges. Past editions have seen award-winning projects in AI-driven healthcare, smart agriculture, and civic-tech, several of which went on to receive incubation support.
What Past Participants Say
